Information sought in suspected poaching of javelina in Bagdad

BAGDAD, Ariz. — The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) is seeking information about the suspected poaching of a javelina in Game Management Unit 18B.
The javelina was found deceased in Bagdad, on Apache Court in the neighborhood behind Bashas. AZGFD officials believe the incident took place on March 9 in the early morning. Evidence suggests the javelina did not die naturally.
“We rely heavily on the assistance of the public in coming forward with information, and we are hopeful that a tip could lead us to those responsible,” said Wildlife Manager Kyle Evans. “This is an unethical waste of the public’s wildlife.”
Anyone with information about this case can call the AZGFD’s Operation Game Thief
hotline at 1-800-352-0700 and refer to case #26-000568.
