Bagdad High School student Ciarra Moore was recently awarded a Grant McKee and Robert Caldwell Service & Leadership Scholarship through Catholic Charities’ North Star Youth Partnership.
Moore participated in the organization’s PAL program for two years, helping with diaper drives, tutoring younger students, campus events, and presentations about the dangers of vaping. She also participated in suicide awareness and other community service projects.
After graduation, Moore plans to attend Yavapai College’s Veterinary Assistant program before continuing to the University of Arizona to pursue veterinary science and eventually become a veterinarian.
The scholarship program honors Prescott Hotshots Grant McKee and Robert Caldwell, who died in the 2013 Yarnell Hill Fire.
